Tokyo in Japan is an exciting neon playground that bursts at the seams with vibrant energy! Offering a beautiful mix of traditional and ultra-modern, there is SO much to explore in this city. On this tour we have planned an epic week featuring stunning temples, bamboo gardens and enough Japanese flavours to make any foodie weak at the knees. You’ll crawl through an iconic district with over 250 drinking dens, party in multi-storey clubs and experience some of the wildest, live-action dinner shows that have to be seen to be believed!

When the weekend hits it’s time to party at Japan’s biggest music festival- Fuji Rock Festival. This environmentally friendly event is set up near the idyllic mountains of Naeba Ski Resort, with lush forestry surrounding the stages that is sure to take your breath away. The diverse lineup features both local and international artists from a variety of genres, ensuring that there is something for everyone to enjoy. Headliners in 2017 included Gorillaz, Aphex Twins, Björk, The xx, Lorde, LCD Soundsystem, Major Lazer, Queens of The Stoneage and many more. The festival hosts over 14 different stages and spands over such a large area that some stages can only be reached by taking a gondola over the mountain! If the music wasn’t enough, the festival also showcases large-scale art installations, various activity tents and even hot springs that are available around the clock for punters to rest in after a long day of dancing. This festival has it all and we can’t wait experience it with you!

Kon'nichiwa and welcome to Tokyo! Tonight after checking into the hotel and putting down your bags, you'll get to meet everyone in your group and your tour guides over a stiff welcome drink and local dinner. After everyone's settled in, we have planned a MASSIVE bar crawl through the Roppongi district- a popular nightlife hotspot that's home to many multi-storey nightclubs and bars.

Chuck on some comfy shoes because today we have planned a f*ck load of awesome things to see and do! The day will be spent exploring some of the city's highlights with the help of our very own local guide. You'll get to see panoramic views of Tokyo from one of the tallest buildings in Japan, visit the Imperial Palace and the very colourful Sensoji Temple, as well as other iconic buildings and gardens. As soon as the sun sets, we will all head over to the famous Robot Restaurant for dinner and a wild show! The performance is a quintessentially Japanese experience, filled with lasers, dancers, life-sized bizarre machines and women in crazy costume. After the show, we have also booked out a private bar and Karaoke room for the group- we shout everyone the first round! Tonight there will also be time to explore Golden Gai; a small, hidden area of Shinjuku that is famous for its architecture and the 250 tiny drinking dens that line the narrow streets.

After a morning dedicated to free time, we will all spend the afternoon exploring Harajuku; Tokyo's most famous fashion, youth culture and shopping district. Here you'll get to witness cosplay and crazy fashion that you won't see anywhere else in the world! We will also be visiting the nearby Meiji Shrine and gardens and you will have the opportunity to visit some of the many animal and themed cafes. Dinner and drinks tonight is in Shibuya, a district home to the world's craziest pedestrian crossing.

For a truly authentic Japanese experience, today we will all head over to a local stadium to watch a Nippon Professional Baseball game. In Japan, baseball is the most watched and played sport and every major league game draws crowds of tens of thousands of fans, which makes for an awesome and lively atmosphere. The enthusiastic cheering sections sing fight songs virtually non-stop throughout the entire game, and although it won't be in English, it's an extremely memorable experience. After the game, it's time to pack and jump on board the Bullet Train because we are headed to the Fuji Rock Festival grounds. Tonight the official pre-party features fireworks and surprise guest performances.

It’s party time baby! Fuji Rock Festival- the biggest and best live music event in Japan! Brace yourselves for an an awesome weekend, filled with lush greenery and amazing live beats by your favourite artists.

Our tour sadly ends today after our farewell breakfast. If you need any assistance organising post-tour accomodation or transfers, our staff are there to help.
